Note: This issue is double-sized. I assume the two training with Mystique are Super Sabre and the new Mastermind although their appearances don't match what they look like in other issues.

Flashback: Robbed of their mutant powers the Neo civilisation crumbles. Amongst the dead are Domina's parents and daughter.

Domina trains in a simulation against the X-Men killing them all. She is interupted by a report of another attack on the Neo. Elysia and Tartarus's powers had merged Rufus Delgado and Charlotte Jones into a single bat-like creature, with Delgado's personality in control, who is secretly working for Rax. Outside the Neo's sealed compound the X-Men return to rescue Jones and Cecelia Reyes. Nightcrawler is able to teleport himself and Wolverine inside were they run into the Delgado/Jones amalgam and are rescued by Reyes who has been using a supply of Delgado's drug Rave to enhance her powers. Meanwhile Rax is teleported outside where he tussels with Rogue. Rogue allows him to have the upperhand to test him, seeing as they do not know they already have two X-Men inside. Nightcrawler, and Reyes are drawn into illusion created by the Neo girl Elysia until Wolverine forces her to stop. The other X-Men burst into the complex and battle the Neo. Delgado/Jones appears and attacks them all until Wolverine kills Delgado and seperates the two, turning Jones back to normal. While his attention is off her Domina stabs Wolverine with what would be a fatal blow if not for his healing factor. Elysia tries to convince Domina that the X-Men are not responsible for the Neo holocaust. Domina is wary but decides to let the X-Men leave. Elsewhere, Toad tracks down the new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants being put together by Mystique and offers his services.
