Gambit's X-Men team, joined by Rogue are enjoying some quiet time in New Orleans when Phoenix picks up a psychic call for help from someone nearby trapped aboard her boat, the Arcadia, in a large hurricane out to sea. When she creates an image of the woman Storm recognises her as Lee Forrester, an ex-love of Cyclops. Storm, Rogue and Gambit go to her rescue. A plane attempting to rescue is hit by lightning and forced to turn away. Debris from the plane hits Storm and knocks her out for a while. Cable and Rogue bring the damaged plane's crew to the relative safety of the Arcadia. They plan to take the boat to the Hurricane's eye and by combining their powers they make it through the monster waves. Rogue is knocked away from the boat but is rescued by Cable. Although the ship is safe for the moment, the three make plans to airlift the boat out of the eye and to safety.
