Kanganator

Mega Maximal Function: Cartography

"Looking for the greatest Maximal, you've found me!"

The charismatic and egotistical Kanganator was voted commander by his team mates, but he has no wish to lead. His self-doubt about his abilities limits him from being the great leader he could be. He wishes nothing more than to get off the planet and out of the responsibility of leadership forced upon him. In kangaroo mode, he can use his legs to leap great distances or against his foes. In robot mode he carries a bazooka pulse rifle. His reluctance in the leadership role is a threat to those he commands.

Emulu

Deluxe Maximal Function: Botanist

"Kick me and I'll kick back"

Emulu was the only female in Optimus Primal's expedition. She has struggled against sexism for years and has tried to prove herself over and over. She is strongly dedicated to showing that she is every bit the equal of her male companions. In emu mode, she is faster then any of her allies or enemies, clocking up speeds the leave the others in her dust. She uses this speed for rapid assaults in beast and robot modes. In both modes she can also use her powerful legs to assault her foes. In trying to prove herself she sometimes takes on too much and is put in dangerous situations.

Wombot

Deluxe Maximal Function: Intelligence

"War is not a game because nobody wins."

A veteran of Cybertron's Great War, Wombot knows more about the Transformers warfare than any other Maximal and is a great source of inspiration and help to Kanganator. The return to battle after centuries of inaction has given him a renewed spark, but he knows the horrors of war too well and wishes nothing more than an end to the conflict. In wombat mode he is quicker and stronger than he appears, easily knocking down the largest of Predacons. He is capable of burrowing through the toughest surfaces. In robot mode he can use his hands as extendable battering rams that can pound through metal and pulverise his foes. His age is a hamper to himself as he tries to do things that his body can no longer cope with.

Koalatron

Regular Maximal Function: Physicist

"Even the smallest things are more powerful then you imagine."

Soft spoken and shy, Koalatron prefers to spend his time thinking on how he can help the Maximals get off the planet and defeat the Predacons. He misses the peace and solitude his Axalon lab afforded him. He never intended to get caught up with warfare and is resentful that the Predacons have forced him to become a reluctant warrior. In Koala mode he has retractable claws for defence. Though an easy target on land his small size and his ability to hide well in trees make him hard to spot. In robot form he has retractable wrist claws that he uses with great skill. His reluctance to fight is easily overcome with his fury at the Predacons.

Rose

Regular Maximal Function: Espionage

"Chill out, I know what I'm doing."

Rose is the youngest of the Maximals. She feels confined by the older Transformers and likes to get away from camp by herself. She sees them as overbearing in their efforts to protect her. She considers herself as responsible and capable as any of the others. In rosella mode, Rose can fly great distances at varying altitudes. Her optic sensors and audio sensors are specially tuned for long distance surveillance of Predacon activities. She can use feather-like darts in battle as well as use the feedback of her recordings against her foes. Though her beast mode's conspicuous colours tend to hamper her spying efforts, her small size makes up for this weakness.

Dusk

Regular Maximal Function: Nocturnal Reconnaisance

"When the lights go out, the fun begins."

Dusk is the Maximals' unofficial morale officer. Always very cheerful and optimistic he sometimes grates the nerves of the other Maximals who try to sleep at times that Dusk is active. Dusk is in charge of maintaining watch at nighttime, a rather boring job that he is always trying to liven up. When transformed into a flying fox Duskhas certain abilities. Dusk's weaponsare dangerous. Dusk performs most of his tasks at night and is weaker when called upon to fight during the daytime.

Kanganator II

Deluxe Maximal, Transmetal Function: Commander

"Looking for the greatest Transmetal, you've found me!"

Following exposure to a quantum surge, Kanganator found himself with a meched-out roo mode and a helicopter mode. Proud of his stronger new form, Kanganator is resigned to his role as commander, striving to be as great a leader as his hero Rodimus Prime. In kangaroo mode he can leap great distances and travel at great speeds. Converting to helicopter mode, Kanganator can travel through the air at speeds reaching Mach 2. In robot mode he carries a double bladed sword, through which he can channel charged-electrons. The increase in power and abilities in his new form have left Kanganator somewhat reckless and overconfident.

Lyre

Regular Maximal, Transmetal II Function: Field Medic

"There's nothing heroic about taking lives, only in saving them."

Lyre's role is to look after those injured in battle. He willingly and heroically risks his life to get to those needing help. He views war grimly and believes fighting is the easy way out. He prefers to spend his free time indulging his love of music. In both his lyrebird and robot modes, he is protected by a large fan that is resistent to most types of artillery. He carries no weapons, but - if he needs to - he can use the fan's sharp edges against foes. Lyre can mimic perfectly any sound he has heard and uses this ability to confuse his opponents. His lack of serious weapons is a major weakness.
