The Transformers are one of the longest running action figure lines ever. Transformer toys have been on sale non-stop since 1984. For many Transfans, including myself, the reason for the continued interest in the Transformers is the mythology. Through 300 animated episodes and over 400 comic books, an captivating science fiction story has been developed, full of great characters, exotic locals, and epic battles. Thanks to 80's nostalgia Transformers is currently undergoing the biggest boost in popularity in decades. Like many others I think giant robots turning into vehicles is cool!
