Flashback: The Starjammers hide out on a water planet and are attacked by giant fish monsters.

Cyclops and Corsair get together for a weekend in the woods. Things are tense between them and both feel uncomfortable. Cyclops eventually asks his father why he never came back for him and Alex because he can't understand why he never did, especially after he travelled to the future to care for his son. Corsair explains that he was ashamed because he had been unable to ensure the safety of his wife or his boys and thought he was a failure. His activities with the Starjammers were an attempt to make up for being unable to protect his family. With this out the two are able to spend the evening enjoying each other's company.
