StormRecent Events: Having seen what Professor Xavier is capable of during the Onslaught saga, Storm is worried what would happen to him if he possessed all of Destiny's journals. She wants to track down the missing journals and has assembled a team of trusted allies to help. Mutant Powers: Storm possesses a mutant ability that allows her almost unlimited control of weather. She can shape weather patterns over huge areas, or in small areas such as when she creates storm clouds to water her plants. She most commonly summons winds to allow her to fly and to disarm and manipulate foes, and lightning bolts. She can not generate weather from nothing, so when she manipulates weather patterns it affects other areas as well. She has to be careful to maintain balance. Storm also keeps her emotions under tight control because when she gets very angry or scared her control over her powers is reduced. Origin: Orphaned as a child when she was trapped in collapsed building with her parents, Ororo Munroe was left claustrophobic and alone. Growing up on the streets of Cairo, she was trained by master thief Achmed el-Gibar and became an expert thief. It was there she first encountered Professor Xavier when she picked his pocket. Seeking her true home she ended up being worshipped as a goddess in Africa. Professor Xavier requested her aid in rescuing the original X-Men from Krakoa. Following this she stayed on as one of the longest serving members of the X-Men, in a leadership role for most of this time. After besting Callisto in combat, Storm became leader of the underground society of mutants called the Morlocks. For a long period Storm was robbed of her mutant abilities by a device built by mutant inventor Forge. Forge was eventually able to undo this. The two fell in love but their romance has been a series of false starts. |

RogueRecent Events: Rogue was stunned when the X-Men appointed her as a team leader, soon after she encounter a telepathic Skrull who forced a transfer of her memories to Rogue. The incident prompted an unrealised aspect of her powers, as she began to randomly manifest the mutant powers she had stolen in the past. With less control over her powers then before, Rogue joined Storm's crusade hoping to explore her new found abilities. Mutant Powers: Rogue possesses the ability to absorb the memories and life force of any human she comes in contact with. If she touches a mutant, she will emulate their powers as well. The victim is knocked unconscious during the time Rogue possesses these abilities, but the affects wear off after a length of time proportionate to the length of time she was in contact with the victim. When she tried to absorb the Alien based powers of the original Ms Marvel, the transfer became permanent and she still retains her superhuman powers of flight, super-strength and invulnerability. Recently exposure to a Skrull has caused her to manifest mutant powers she has absorbed in the past. The bone claws of Wolverine, and the related healing factor that goes with them, seem to be permanent. Origin: When Rogue's mutant powers first manifested at the time of her first kiss she was frightened and ran away from her home. Eventually she was found by Mystique and raised by her and Destiny. Rogue eventually became part of her foster mother's team the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and during this time she absorbed the powers of Ms Marvel and was left with the personality of Ms Marvel permanently. Unable to cope with her powers she fled to the X-Men for help and although the X-Men were wary at first they soon came to trust her and Rogue found a new home with the X-Men. She fell in love with fellow member Gambit although their relationship has been rocky. |

BishopRecent Events: While in Valencia Bishop was brought to the astral plane known as Dreamtime by the X-Men's mysterious Aborginal ally Gateway. There he encountered Psylocke's spirit and was confronted with his past. It turns out that Bishop, whose first name is Lucas, is Gateway's great- grandson. During the fighting in Bishop's past Australia was destroyed and his Aboriginal parents fled to America where they began a new life. Bishop never had much of time for his aboriginal past or for learning his ansectoral history but the coming trip to Australia may be his chance. Mutant Powers: Bishop has the mutant ability to absorb energy directed towards him, store it, then rechannel it as concussive blasts from his fists. History: Bishop was raised in mutant prison camps in a possible future. When he was freed he was enlisted in to the Xavier School Enforcers, a mutant peacekeeping force that enlisted lethal force against mutant criminals. Tracking down the mutant criminal Fitzroy he and his partners Malcolm and Randall came across the remains of the X-Men's War Room. They activated a distorted message from Jean Grey in which she seemed to be calling for help after the X-Men had been killed by a traitor. Soon after Bishop found himself in the present day in pursuit of escaped prisoners from his time. The X-Men were shocked by Bishop's deadly methods and tried to stop him. The X-Men invited him to join them and taught him how to adjust to the present day. Bishop was concerned with stopping the traitor and believed it was Gambit who was still alive in his timeline. Eventually he learnt that it was the X-Men's founder Xavier who was the traitor as he manifested the entity known as Onslaught. Bishop was able to save the X-Men by absorbing the deadly blasts Onslaught directed at them. Soon after while in space Bishop was separated from the rest of the X-Men and teamed up with Shi'ar criminal Deathbird. Bishop then found himself in further in Earth's future then he came from and again had to battle Fitzroy. Returned from the far future, Bishop returned to the X-Men but had some trouble readjusting. SageRecent Events: Tessa's presence at the Mansion was looked upon with suspicion by many of the X-Men. Storm enlisted her help because her mutant abilities would be of great benefit to their quest. Mutant Powers: Tessa's mutant powers are still unclear. It appears it may be the ability to store and access incredible ammounts of information in her memory similar to a computer. She has also displayed the ability to enhance mutant abilities to their fullest, perhaps causing secondary mutations. History: The X-Men first came into contact with Tessa when she was the most trusted personal aide to the Black King of the Hellfire Club, Sebastin Shaw. However Tessa had been recruited by Professor Xavier in the early days of the X-Men, at the same time as the Beast. Xavier sent Tessa to infilitrate the Hellfire Club and spy on them for Xavier. |

PsylockeRecent Events: Split from her relationship with Archangel, Psylocke pursues a new romance with Thunderbird. With no access to her telepathic powers Psylocke has developed telekinetic abilities that she is still learning to control. Fighting with Vargas to save the Beast and Rogue, Psylocke was killed. Her spirit appeared in the Dreamtime, a sort of astral plane to pass on a message to Bishop. During this encounter her spirit disappeared into a portal similar to those created by Gateway. What this means, and whether it may lead to a reincarnation remains to be seen. Mutant Powers: Until recently, Psylocke was a telepath with medium-level abilities, often using her powers to manifest a psychic knife that she would use to disrupt a victim's brain functions. After giving up her telepathic abilities to restrain the Shadow King, Psylocke now has telekinetic powers. She can move large items with her mind, but has yet to developed control over small items. She now creates a telekinetic sword that can cut through anything she believes she can. History: Twin sister of Captain Britain, former model and secret agent Betsy Braddock took up the role of Captain Britain for a time until she was severly beaten and blinded by a foe. Given new eyes by Mojo, Psylocke became an ally of the New Mutants, and then after impressing the X-Men with her bravery in combat with Sabretooth, she became a part of the team. During one of the lowest points in the X-Men's history, Psylocke convinced the remaining X-Men to pass through the Seige Perilous and be given a new chance at life. Psylocke appeared in Japan where through the manipulations of the Mandarin, Spiral and Matsu'o her mind was placed in to the body of a Japanese ninja named Kwannon. Now Japanese in appearance, Psylocke also possessed superior ninja fighting skills and soon returned to the X-Men. Another encounter with Sabretooth left her near death but by mystic means she was restored to health and left with red mark over one eye. It also gave her the ability to teleport through shadows. During a battle with the Shadow King Psylocke was able to trap the evil mutant on the astral plane, but at the cost of not being able to use her telepathic powers without risking freeing him. |

The BeastRecent Events: The Beast is the least sure about Storm's quest and has joined her to "keep her honest". Severly injured in combat with Vargas the Beast has chosen to return to the mansion. His injuries were healed by Sage in a way that will result in a secondary mutation and make him look more beast-like. Mutant Powers: The Beast possesses extraordinary strength, speed, agility and endurance. He can also use his feet and toes as well as his hands. After a failed experiment, the Beast developed a furry coating over his body that turned his already ape-like body into a more beastial form. History: One of the original X-Men, Henry J McCoy's brutish shape hid a brilliant mind. He was the first to leave the X-Men, after earning a Ph.D in biochemistry, he went to work at the Brand Corporation. It was there that a failed experiment left him blue and furry. As an Avenger the Beast became a publicly accepted mutant and revealed his identity. He was a member of the Defenders, then joined with his fellow X-Men in founding X-Factor. Eventually he returned to the X-Men, and became one of the leading scientists in finding a cure for the Legacy Virus. Recently, with the help of notes left by Moira MacTaggert just before her death he was able to create a cure for the deadly virus. |
