Cyclops and Wolverine defeat a sentinel in Sydney Australia and rescue a mutant named Ugly John. The mysterious Ms Nova gives Mr Trask a history lesson about the extinction of Neanderthals as she leads him to the site of a Sentinel Master Mold built in the South American jungle.While using Cerebra, an improved version of Cerebro built by the Beast, Professor X detects a spike of mutant energy in South America and diverts Cyclops and Wolverine to investigate. Professor X is then attacked mentally by the source. In the jungle Ms Nova and Mr Trask watch as a team of soldiers are torn apart by deadly new Sentinels. Ms Nova tells Trask to tell them to stop, and the Sentinels respond, programmed to preserve Trask DNA.
