Flashback: Colossus feeds the comatose Magneto and explains his reasons for leaving the X-Men

As her team of X-Men head to Genosha, Phoenix gives the new mutants a crash course on their powers. As soon as they reach Genosha their aircraft is destroyed and they are brought before Magneto and his crowds of followers. Jean is horrified to see Xavier crucified with his brain literally shut off by Magneto's powers. An enraged Dazzler attacks Magneto, but he deflects the assault and Dazzler is turned to ashes.
